Canberra

Canberra, is Australia’s capital and the city of national monuments and art galleries.

In Canberra, you’ll discover Australia’s political past and its current modern democracy visiting the current and former Parliament House. You’ll also learn about the nation’s sporting champions at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).

During the spring, the gardens bloom and the “Floriade” festival is held.   In winter, the Canberra skies are filled with hot air ballons during the  “Canberra Balloon Festival” and during the 3 day  festival “Enlighten”, you’ll see Canberra in a whole new light.

If you are visiting Canberra, you shouldn’t miss the world heritage Namadgi National Park, where you can go bush walking, rock climbing, see native animals and discover ancient aboriginal rock paintings.   A visit to the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve is also a must.
