
Chancellor State College’s Football/Futsal Academy
Chancellor State College’s Football/Futsal Academy is committed to providing students the opportunity to pursue their interest, knowledge and skills in football and futsal. The school’s goal is to provide students with a genuine career pathway by allowing students to develop their games’ skills and participate in all facets of football/futsal, from administration to team management.
The football/futsal Development Program is designed for Year 5 to 12 students and is open to both boys and girls. The program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to develop their football skills and to use the study of football to improve their academic opportunities and provide pathways to tertiary study.
Students accepted into the program will have the opportunity to participate in a range of learning experiences from the school’s experienced staff plus regular guest sessions from guest coaches, including those from:
- Football Queensland
- Sunshine Coast Fire Football Club
- Sunshine Coast Futsal
- Australian Futsal Association
To be accepted into the Touch Football Academy, applicants must demonstrate certain qualities and levels of performance.
They must demonstrate:
- Proven touch football skills and/or athletic ability and a commitment to improve and promote the game within the community;
- Academic standards that reflect genuine effort; and
- A high standard of attitude and behaviour.
Entry into the program is selective and very competitive with only a limited number of positions offered.
