New Master of Energy Studies

The Master of Energy Studies (MES) is a new and innovative program developed by the International Energy Centre (IEC), a network of three leading Australian universities (The University of Queensland, The University of Western Australia and The University of Newcastle) and industry collaborators.

The MES program equips the next generation of energy leaders, managers and decision makers with the skills and knowledge to address the challenges at the nexus of energy, climate change and sustainability. It pursues a multi-disciplinary approach in order to expose students to science and  technology, business management, policy and economics in the context of clean energy generation and carbon management.

The MES program is aimed at young and mid-level professionals looking to obtain a unique qualification that prepares them to strategically address the challenges posed by a carbon-constrained economy, positioning them to take on management and leadership roles in a field of growing importance.
